Current Position
Head of Enterprise & Industrial Strategy, HM Treasury
I am currently Head of Enterprise & Industrial Strategy in the Enterprise & Growth Unit at HM Treasury, leading a team responsible for government spending relating to advanced manufacturing and support for small businesses.
I was a pupil at Westminster from 2008-10, where I was Head Girl and Head of Hakluyt's, studying A-levels in English, Geography, Maths and History, as well as enjoying cross country and drama. From 2010 to 2013, I read English at Magdalen College, Oxford where I was elected President of the Junior Common Room, the undergraduate student body. In 2011, I was awarded a bursary for summer studies at Stanford University.
In 2012, I completed a summer internship in the Global Investment Research division at Goldman Sachs. Following graduation, I spent three years at Goldman as an Equity Research Analyst, focusing on European medical technology stocks, where I was closely involved in the Steering Committee for the Global Investment Research Women’s Network.
I then moved to the Civil Service in 2016 as part of the Fast Stream scheme, during which I completed postings in the Cabinet Office, Home Office and Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. In 2018, I became US Desk Officer in the International Agreements Unit at the Department for Exiting the EU, responsible for ensuring that following Brexit the UK would continue to benefit from the terms of EU-US international agreements. Until recently, I was Head of the Asset Management & High Risk Investments Unit in the Financial Services Group at HM Treasury, responsible for government strategy relating to a sector managing £11 trillion of assets.
