Title War Paint - Women at War Film Screening followed by Q&A with the filmmaker, Margy Kinmonth
Details 6.15pm Welcome drink and light refreshments, 7.00pm Screening

This is the third film in Margy Kinmonth’s trilogy about war artists. As she was making her second film (Eric Ravilious - Drawn to War) she realised there was a parallel, "even bigger" story of overlooked women war artists. Our evening will begin with a welcome drink and light buffet followed by the screening (access is step free) and a Q&A with Margy Kinmonth.

From the recent interview published in the FT:
"Think of the American photographer Lee Miller, now celebrated for her images of the second world war in London and Europe....a vast trove of pictures was found at her Sussex farmhouse after her death in 1977. She was all but forgotten."

As she made the film Margy asked " what is it women see in war that men don't?".

She suggests " A lot of the time, it's the aftermath..... I want this film to change things".
