I graduated Westminster in 2017 with A-Levels and Pre-Us in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I credit my time at Westminster for fostering and developing my intellectual curiosity both through academics, and the mix of people I was surrounded by outside the classroom, and on WSBC, our rowing team.
After leaving Westminster, I first took a gap year to gain some more practical experience in different fields. It helped to better guide my higher education and career choices. Amongst the various experiences, I coached robotics and performed research at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon Portugal, my hometown.
I was accepted to Columbia and enrolled in Autumn of 2018. While at Columbia, I took an interest in Computer Science but also took classes in fields like Linguistics and Psychology. I continued my rowing career after Westminster, where we won the national championship in 2015 and 2016, on Columbia’s Lightweight rowing team. This culminated in winning the East Coast championships in the 2nd varsity VIII and national championship wins. I graduated Columbia in 2022 with Scholar-Athlete awards and was inducted to the Engineering Honor Society.
I interned throughout my summers at Ebury in London, Santander in Lisbon, and Goldman Sachs in Dallas before continuing full-time at Goldman Sach’s headquarters in NYC as a Data Engineer.
