Title Friends of Westminster - The National Gallery ‘From Van Eyck to Van Gogh’ - 2.00pm Tour
Details This tour guarantees an encounter with at least 10 remarkable paintings housed in the National Gallery, showcasing diverse periods and regions. Our journey will commence with Van Eyck's timeless Arnolfini Portrait from 1434, leading us to the exquisite Holbein Ambassadors of 1533 via Botticelli. Along the way, we'll admire Caravaggio's masterpieces, reflect upon Velázquez's iconic Rokeby Venus from 1647, and appreciate several other magnificent artworks, concluding with Monet, Cézanne, and a lively discussion about the gallery's most renowned piece (as evidenced by the worn floor!): Van Gogh's vibrant Sunflowers from 1888.

Access to the National Gallery should be via the Getty entrance on the East side of Trafalgar Square which is accessible for those with mobility access requirements. Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour starts and you will be handed a National Gallery admission ticket at the entrance by a Westminster school representative. Once you have entered the National Gallery via the Getty entrance please go to 'Muriel's Espresso Bar', this will be the meeting point for everyone.
