OW Careers and Mentoring
The current OW Careers and Mentoring Programme was launched in 2012 and has more than 100 mentors offering advice and support to recent Leavers and OWW seeking a career change. Mentors at every level are signed up, from Managing Directors with a wealth of professional experience behind them to recent Leavers who can advise others on how to get into their field with the benefit of recent experience of applications processes and interviews. Mentors come from a range of sectors including, Finance, Medicine, Media, Arts and Culture and the Civil Service. Finding a Mentor If you’re looking for advice on a particular industry or are seeking guidance after leaving School or university you can access a list of OW mentors by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Let us know which sectors you are interested in and attach your CV. We’ll send you a tailored list of mentors and once you’ve selected a prospective mentor we’ll make an introduction by email so they can be in touch directly.
Sign up as a Mentor
Mentoring is usually an extremely rewarding experience. As a mentor you can be involved as much or as little as you like – just let us know what you are able to offer by filling in this form. You can opt in or opt out of being a mentor at any point and we’ll always send you an introductory email to prospective ‘mentees’ giving you their details so you choose to get in touch.
We are recruiting a pool of US-based mentors with a view to connecting them with OWW either attending American universities or working in the States who could use some friendly support and advice. If you are interested in being a mentor or being mentored please email email@example.com.
We’d like to encourage more OW Women to sign up as mentors. Our OW Women’s Network includes women from a broad range of professional backgrounds who would make inspiring mentors. If you are interested in coming on board please just let us know what you are able to offer by filling in this form.
